My first time using the Gymnastic WOD site... failed the workout on the 5th round. The V-Outs and Straight Arm Press Outs were easy but those dumbbell holds were killing me. (By round 3 I was having to split the 60 second hold into 2 sets of 30 seconds, and by the 5th round it was feeling a bit tough.) Good challenging workout though!!!
I'm new to these WODs and to gymnastics in general... as soon as I opened todays I knew I would struggle - until now I have only ever done 3x reps of Ring Dips at a time... I had to break the reps into about 1,000,000 sets but - I DID IT!!! I don't care if my time was glacial - I'm just glad finished the WOD!
Felt awesome - substituted the 'roll to inverted hang' for an inverted hang. I don't have the support strength needed to do a safe roll yet... with laminate flooring I would KO myself if I failed lol
I too used 10kg for the Cross - i think i could have went a bit heavier, but the next set of plates I had would have made it up to 20kg which I could have never done! All in, the WOD was really good... please keep posting these workout guys!
7 rounds done and feeling fresh at the end - a few years ago this would have dropped me with a heart attack! :D Had already done some other exercises so I left the V-ups, sounded cool though so I'm going to add them on to the end of todays workout.
